In Memory of Betty Zinck Rothenberger.

 January 13, 1933 - March 4, 2018
Betty was an amazing person. As a young woman she lived in a small Lebanese village where her appreciation of other cultures on a day to day basis was ignited and continued throughout her life. She was an English teacher extraordinaire, in middle and high school in San Francisco.

She knew how to teach inner city youth and as English Department Chair she guided and mentored both inexperienced and experienced teachers in such wonderful ways that those teachers were influenced for the rest of their careers.

Starting in the mid-1980s until the end of her life, Betty worked in a Human Capacities Program with Dr. Jean Houston and Dr. Peggy Rubin. Betty worked with The Mystery School and Social Artistry assisting participants from around the world, on line on a one to one basis, to help them truly understand these teachings.

Betty loved to travel and to visit places where the sacred feminine was expressed through the goddesses. Athena was Betty’s companion goddess and the owl, Athena’s companion, was also one of Betty’s animal totems. One of Betty’s favorite places was the Delphi Tholos, where Gaia was celebrated in ancient Greece. It was so important to Betty that she had a special license plate that said THOLOS.

Betty was compassionate, wise, loving and a catalyst for connecting. If she knew you had an interest in something, she would connect you with someone with whom you could pursue that interest. All who knew her knew they were lucky to have Betty as a gift in their lives.

As a member of the Millionth Circle Conveners, Betty's willingness to set up our monthly phone meetings and her gentle and deep wisdom is very much missed.

In Memory of Dr Joan Kenley

Jan 16, 1941 to November 26, 2020

Joan had many talents and her voice from an early age set her on a life path of creativity. During her early acting career she performed with Ethel Merman, Jackie Gleason, and Julie Andrews. Her voice-over work led her to become know nationwide for her friendly recognizable voice of mail and digitized phone products including several episodes as The Telephone Lady on the Simpsons. She authored two books "Voice Power" and "Whose Body Is It Anyways?"

Joan gained national recognitions as an author, psychologist, media consultant, keynote speaker, and personal coach. She appeared on Dateline, 20/20, CNN, Good Morning America, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. She has been featured on countless radio shows and in many national publications, including The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Reader’s Digest, Health, Wired, Cosmo and Allure. Joan was the Host and Executive Producer of The Joan Kenley Show, branded as Conversation radio to touch your mind, body, heart, and soul. It featured women, circles, peaceful intentions, and sustainable living.

Joan is survived by her husband Alain Gauthier, son Roland, daughter-in-law Amy, and granddaughter Sylvia Gauthier.

Joan was a lover of beauty in all its forms from roses, to crystal, to clothes, to her gardens and her home. She frequently hosted the Millionth Circle's annual conveners gatherings in her home in the Oakland Hills. Her generosity and enthusiasm for circle is remembered and missed.
